I am looking for the parents/siblings of the above couple. They were married in Daviess County, Indiana in 1837, but both were born in Kentucky. As some Mattingly families were Catholic, I am hoping that their families were part of the Bardstown or other Catholic settlements in Kentucky. Any help appreciated. Donna Wolf

Hello all... I'm a new subscriber to this list; I rejoined the "Maryland Catholics to Kentucky" list the other day too. I found it very informative but had to leave to concentrate on grad school. I'm still at the University of Kentucky, so if you need anything looked up, I might be able to help. I would like to know, if there's anyone out there who knows about these county records enough to tell me, what the records are like in Marion County. I believe the courthouse there (was) burned in 1863 or
