My database currently shows Alexander Mcmains, b. Sept. 1834, married first to Mahala Bodenhamer. Sources from Mahaska County have suggested that it was Nancy Bodenhamer instead. I show Mahala Bodenhamer previously married to Pleasant Carver. I'm not sure who married who, and what family lines be
I haven't tried this for quite some time so thought I would try it again.
I am trying to locate any descendants of Robert (1824-1911) and Ellen
McMains of Lackawanna Co., Pennsylvania. They had five children, Frances,
Robert, Maria, Eliza and William Joseph. .Any help would be sincerely
appreciated.

Researching Kennedy, Reedy (Readey, Ready), McMains (McMaines), Wilcox,
Ruland, Blanchard, Denn in Lackawanna and Luzerne County.
Andrew J. Mcmains enlisted in Co. D, 97th Infantry, Indiana, Aug 19, 1862.
He was killed in battle at Kenesaw Mountain, GA June 15, 1864. He is buried
at the National Cemetery, Marietta, GA.
Does anyone know which family he came from? I have a couple of "Andrew J.
Mcmains, but not one that matches this one. Any help?

There is a book entitled "O.P. Mcmains and the Maxwell Land Grant Conflict",
by Morris F. Taylor. Does anyone know of this O P Mcmains? I'm curious to
know if he relates to my Mcmains family.

I found land patents for Charles L. Mcmains, Chaves County, NM, 1911. I also
found a land patent for Joseph C. Mcmains, Hidalgo County, NM, 1933. Does
anyone recognize these persons?

Lucille Mcmains married William J. Forster, Dec. 7, 1888, in Atacosa County,
TX. Lucille was buried in the Rutledge Cemetery, Atacosa County, TX. I
believe she is related to other Mcmains in the area, but I do not know how.
Any help out there?
