Dear List Members,
Here it is the end September and time for the Third Quarterly Report for
2001. This past month has been a difficult time for all of us, but we
made it through it and each of us are trying to get back to normal, or
as normal as we can again. Part of that getting back to normal is our
quarterly reports. Again, for your information, the MD-CEMETERIES
Mailing List has 242 members, 166 on the Regular list and there are 76
members on the Digest List.

Hello,
I am looking for Edmund CONNER, wounded in the Battle of Anteitam,
treated and died ( 20 Oct ) at 'General Hospital Smoketown, MD'. He was
"properly dressed and buried, and his grave marked, so that his body can
be obtained any time".
Where is this cemetery, and is there an index for location of this
grave?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Deborah
Could someone please tell me where I could get information on Woodlawn
Cemetery. I have tried to write to them asking for information about my
grandparents that are buried there or any of there family and I never have
gotten a reply. I believe this is in Baltimore.

Can you please tell me if Baldwin Memorial Church is in Anne Arundel Co., MD and if it has been recorded and where that I might see the names of those buried there? Thank you for your time. Jane Germann
Deborah,
You didn't say where you got your information, where he was from, or what
Keedysville in your subject means. From the description, he may very well
have been shipped home and buried near home. Keedysville is about 3 miles
east of Sharpsburg in Washington County, and there were probably hospitals
there.
I have the book "The Bivouacs of the Dead, The Story of Those Who Died at
Antietam and South Mountain." It has lists of the known dead buried in 4
major cemeteries, the largest by far being the

Hi Helen, This cemetery is in Baltimore. I have a sister buried there 2 yrs
ago. When I went back to visit the grave I couldn't find it at first. The
office there has everything diagrammed out on a piece of cardboard they could
show me on the cardboard where the grave was located, but once in the
cemetery was very hard to find. After 2 yrs of persistence I finally found
the grave. I plan on visiting the cemetery soon again and I would be glad to
try and locate for you and take pictures of the marker i

We are mourning and will be mourning for a long while, the tragedy which
happened to us this week. I, as you, hurt and want to cry out and
