Thank you for the map, John. That is a neat way to spot a family location.
Nancy.
Hello Lewis,
The only Eli Peregoy I find is born VA and living in VA. One listed in the
1850 in Rappahannock cnty and one listed in the 1860 in Rockingham cnty
married to a Louise. The birthdate is about right.
If you think this could be him, I'll send details for the 1860. There is a
marriage record at Ancestry to one Louisa Flowers, however I don't subscribe
so I can't get more information. The marriage information might give his
mother's name.

Might anyone have the 1776 census for this family?
I am seeking a will, church records, or just about anything that might offer
a list of the offsping of Elizabeth BEALL (d/o George Beall and Elizabeth
Brooke). Elizabeth Beall m. Walter EVANS. She died in 1803.

Nancy,
I also could not find them in 1860. I saw that Michael found what appears
to be Alfred in 1850 in District 5 of Carroll County, which was right across
the county line from Baltimore County. He was a stonecutter, the same as
Kathy found in 1870.
This is not what you asked for, but may help you find where he and his
parents lived earlier. If you look at the 1850 Census page for Robert
Gosnell, the head of household, you will see that his neighbors included
Susannah Parker, Allen Bennett, and Wesley
Jennifer,
Thank you very much. That is my man. I have the Virginia info. I am very
sure he was born in Maryland. His father Moses was born in MD and he
probably lived in MD between 1820 and 1830. Thanks again. You have been
most helpful.
