There was also a listing for Levin Rollison in the 1830 1st District, Kent
County, Maryland Census, p 409. The 1830 census does not show family members
by name, just by their ages, "# of males, 5-20," etc.
There is also a listing for Henry Rollison in the 1860, 2nd Election
District, Kent County, Maryland Census, p 892. If you want this, let me know.
The microfilm were very busy today so I couldn't get everything looked up
that I'd hoped to.

For the 1860 Maryland census, I foud no listing for any Weiland or Wieland. For Ansel, the only one listed in Maryland was Rebecca in the 15th Ward of Baltimore, p 511.
I took a peek into the 1860 Pennsylvania census. There was a Henry Ansel, Allegheny County, Moon Twp, p 440. He was listed as a 40 year old Day Laborer born in Germany.
His wife was Abigail. Let me know if you want me to look up Rebecca. The microfilm machines were busy today, so I could only do my index lookups.

I have created a spreadsheet which I am using to record the mountain of
census data that I have accumulated on paper over the years. I like having
electronic copies of records for ease of organizing, manipulation, transport
and backup. The spreadsheet would also be very useful for those of you who
take a laptop to your local FHC for data entry.
In just 4-5 days since I offered the spreadsheet on several lists, I have
e-mailed over 600 FREE copies of it and I can't keep my inbox empty for more

I would appreciate a look up for the Velenovsky
family, living in Baltimore City in 1880. Although I'm
especially interested in information about Wenceslaus
(Vaclav) Velenovsky, his wife Maria Beran and their
children, I think that there may have been another
Velenovsky family living in Baltimore at that time.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time,
Joanne

Many thanks to Sue from Florida for her help with my last request. I now have some more information to work with. I am now seeking help with the Wicomico censuses for 1890 and 1900 to try and link our grandfather with the Furr family that has appeared through our research.
Our grandfather, Samuel Brewester Furr was born in Rockawalking on 6 June 1895. Sallie Furr (b. 12/24/1824 d. 11/18/1905) and Aleaner Furr, wife of V. L. Furr are buried in the Rockawalking Colored Church Cemetery, but we're not sure

I have just subscribed to this list & I am trying to locate a family in
Maryland. If anyone has access to the state census books & would lookup this
family for me, I would be most grateful.
I apologize that I do not know the county they might have settled in. The
AIS Index has hundreds of John Gray's and therein lies my biggest problem in
researching this family. I need to locate the family as a unit. I have
extensively researched this family in Virginia and now hope to discover where
they moved
Can anyone find the following in Frederick County census?

Dear Gail Steckel,
I would like to know more about Levin Rollison. I am looking for parents of a
Susanna Rollins, Rollison, Ralston, etc. born Jan. 25, 1814 MD and married
1834 MD to Richard Waple. I thought they were from Prince Georges or Charles
County but am open to other thoughts. Their first son was named James H.
(presumably named after father of the husband) and the second one was Thomas
Levan (could be Levin). Am attempting to locate the area(s) in MD they came
from and the parents. Richard a

Could someone please look up the Cook family in South Balto?
They lived on Cross St. The 1920 census could show them. I don't know the
man's first name, however, the wife was Meta. They had 3 daughters, but
they may not show up in 1920. I mainly need the husband's first name.
Thank you kindly.

Since you know where they lived, I recommend you check (or have someone look
for you) the Baltimore City Directories around 1920 before someone tries
looking through all the Cooks in the census. That will list all working
people named Cook, with their addresses. If your information is correct,
the husband should be listed on Cross Street . They have hard copies from
that time period in the Maryland Room at the Main Branch of the Pratt
library. If you call there, they will probably look it up for you. I
