Dear Alice
Sorry 1840 will not help much.
In 1840 census only the head of house hold was listed.
This will only help you after you find 1850.
I can not do an 1850.
I can do an 1860 and I could not find any thing so far yo have not given enough data.
What year did your Alice SLAYTON get married to William MONAHAN?
Is she married in 1870 to William MONAHAN and were are they living?
Most times it is good to start back wards.
You and I can search 1880 for free at http://www.familysearch.org

Hello Everyone:
I am new to the list and ask for your patience.
I was told that my Uncle Wally's family lived in Independent City, Baltimore County, Maryland, in 1870.
Since then I have been told that the City of Baltimore separated itself in 1851 as a separate city with no county.
I also have been told that there is a county named Independent City County.
So to get to the point, I am requesting a lookup in the 1870 FC in Independent City, Maryland, for:
John Valentine Stembler, age 50,
Sarah Rebecca
Thank you so much for your efforts ! I will save these as leads and hope to
make a match soon.
Cece

Any and all additional information would help in tracking

Ron,
Here are the Stembler's in the 1864 Baltimore City Directory. They were all
shoemakers, probably some or all of them related. This is online at:

Recommend you subscribe to the Baltimore City mail list if you haven't
already.

Hi a lookup please for David Eveland age about 43. Born in Maryland. I don't have much information other then that. His mother was born in Pa though if that comes in handy.
Thanks in advance to all who help me. :)

Hi,
Figured as much, but when you didn't provide her married name, I didn't want
to assume. Sometimes we get requests for married persons looking for their
maiden families..and sometimes we have to look forward to find them back when..
Don't remember finding any Slayton in MD in 1860 will look again and look
back..

Would someone please look up the Meyer family in the 1870 MD census?
They emigrated in 1862 from Westerkappeln Westfalen . I cannot find
them in the NYC census. That is where Bernard was living in 1880 when
he married. I have been told that most of the emigrants from Wesfalen
left through Bremmen and usually landed in Baltimore or New Orleans.

Hello,
May I please have a look-up for HILEMAN, Allegany County, Maryland, 1830. I believe there would be perhaps two families at this time. I can't be certain of the given name, as I can't be certain of which brother's migrated to Allegany County during this period.
Thank you for any help you may be in a position to offer.
