They have staff who are pretty keen on local history as well as genealogy. The local area number could be dialed long-distance at 410-396-5430. Hi group. I have two great-great grandfathers who fought in the Civil War on opposite sides, both from Maryland. Does anyone have any information or know of any articles, books, pictures, etc. about the Garrison (or Pikesville) Forest Rangers under the leadership of Wilson C. Nicholas? This militia group seized the Pikesville Arsenal in April 1861. Then, I believe they left Baltimore and formed as Co. G of the First Maryland (Confederate Army) in Harpers Ferry, WV.
