As some of you have noted an off-topic and controversial political and
religious message came through the list. The matter has been dealt with.
While it isn't possible to control original posts such as this -- this
doesn't mean the matter isn't being dealt with. It also doesn't give everyone
free rein to respond in favor or opposed to such an off-topic post.
In view of the volatile situation--I've placed the list on moderated status
for the next 24 hours and will review any post
Thanks for saying what I have been thinking !! I will be glad to help this member , if they can give me some time. I would also love to hear stories of the Appalachians, if you would email privately.

These appear to be requests for information about various people, most
likely members of her lines. She uses a rather terse format, but maybe the
only information she has is their death date. She states she lives in Costa
Rica, and I doubt she has many local sources of information from Maryland.
Someone might suggest to her Internet sites for additional information for
the 1900's for the county. If someone has access to a newspaper archives
and would volunteer to check for obituaries, that would no

Why is there so much suspect and callous attitudes about the President of the
United States? Have you no respect for the office or the man, whether you
disagree or not with his personal and political agenda, please honor the office
of the presidency. And pray that you are so lucky not to have had the
misfortune to walk in his steps.
What would you have done? What difference would you have made in the world's
crisises that he has had? How many Presidents have had as many crisises as he
has had?

As to the individual not responding to the complaints --- it could be that
she only gets to check her email once a day or so and hasn't seen them yet.
She could, as others have said, be so embarrassed by the remarks that she
doesn't want to post any more.
Although slightly possible, an identity scam is rather unlikely. Some of
the people she asks about died in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Don't
you think, since this is a genealogy list, that the person just began
working on her family tree and

I am also interested in any history of Frederick County, Maryland in that time frame. If anyone can steer me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. Susan Miller
