The Lewis line is connected to the Ludwig(2) line of Washington Co, Md. However the connection to the particular son has not been made. It is my supposition that he is definitely a grandson of Ludwig. Do you have any info related to this possibility.

I have found that when I research the 1840 census for Frederick City people,
they come up in Frederick, Dorchester, Maryland. I can't tell what the
actual county is on the census images because they do not have the
enumerator, date, county, or state but I know that they lived in Frederick
county and go on with it. I use Ancestry.com.

I don't see your request among the ones I have received and answered. It is
possible I missed it.
I checked and there are only three Hills listed, all three were witnesses to
marriages and they were not John or William Hill.

I believe I have answered all those who requested a lookup for the records
for the Evangelical German Reformed Church of Frederick, Frederick County
1746
Does anyone have an idea why Ancestry.com and some of the usgenweb Maryland
census records say that the city of Frederick is in Dorchester county? I
have several people that I know were from Buckeystown, Middletown, and
Frederick (that we know today) that appear in these Frederck/Dorchester
lists. Any ideas?
Is there a marriage for a Jacob Roderick (Rothrock) about 1780-1790. Perhaps a baptism ca 1760 Thanks Dave Roderick
