I don't want to offend anyone with shameless promotion . . . But, on the
otherhand, I thought a couple of books I've written might be of interest to
this list?
They are for kids, 9-14, put out by major and regional publishers and
colonial-era women. One is a compilation of biographical sketches. Two more
(and another fortcoming) are individual bios).
Well... I'll leave it at that, and if posting titles and info is
appropriate, or of interest, please let me know. Best, Mary Rodd Furbee
Dear List Members - PLEASE DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS on the personal
e-mail you are receiving without being 100% plus sure who it is from and
that it is not a virus and the only way you can be this sure is run a
Virus Scan.
The new one now is "Homepage" If you open the Homepage attachment, it
sends a copy of itself to everyone in your address book.
Homepage then randomly chooses an adult Web page to
display on the system's default Internet browser." To learn more aobut

My ggg grandfather was William Canoles of Baltimore County. We believe he
is the same person as William Stansbury Canoles, War of 1812 soldier, but
we have not been able to verify this.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might go for more information
on this veteran, so that I can determine if he is my ancestor?
Thanks!

Dear List Members,
Remember as you think about posting a message to the list regarding
Memorial Day, that some of our members are not from the United States.
We have members from England, Canada, Mexico, Scotland, Ireland and
Australia, just to name a few.
Please keep this in mind as you send your messages regarding honoring
those of our ancestors who fought in wars, served in the military and
gave their lives for our beliefs and for the freedoms we hold dear. Our

Dear List Members,
Many of you may already know about the "Historical Maps of the United
States" site located at
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/Libs/PCL/Map_collection/histus.html
But I just found it and it is wonderful. I have spent the last few
hours going through some of the maps and it helped me so much to
understand some of the strange migration patterns of my ancestors.
Enjoy, and have a wonderful weekend.

It seems as if the latest virus problem has calmed down, but it would
only take one or two of you opening an attachment with a virus to set
it off again. It is not over, but it has calmed down. Just this
morning I received another on - and did as I suggest you do DELETED IT.
Please remember:
DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENT unless you know 100% what it is and who is
from and have run a virus scan on it. I don't care how inviting the
subject line is, "homepage", "Read this", "The Docs you ask for", etc.

Thought some of our new members would like to see this and some of us
old members might like to see it again. :)
To see the growth in the United States between 1650 and 1983? This is a

Seeking informatin regarding Peter Humerickhouse--listed as officer of the day on 12-25-1776 at George Washington's encampment. Day of the Crossing of the Deleware. Listed in DAR records. Peter also received a pension from the state of Maryland as a patriot in the revolutionary war.
If you have information as to a site to confirm the above and to learn of Peter's family information including birth, death, location before and after the R.W.I would be most appreciative.
Thank you, in advance.

Dear List Members:
If you are unsubscribed from the list, and it is not what you wanted,
just re-subscribe yourself. If for some reason your address bounced
several times, at no fault of your own, the system removes your address
from the list. So if you see it happening to you all you have to do is
re-subscribe yourself or send me a message and I will take care of it
for you.
Please be careful and DO NOT OPEN ANY MAIL WITH AN ATTACHMENT unless you
are 100% sure you know what it is and even then run a vi

When I get a
message from one of you and see that you have the virus, your e-mail
address is unsubscribed from the mailing list until you get your
computer system clean and then you are welcomed back with open arms.
Kathleen, thanks for the good advice. Re: the above quote from your
message, will you let us know if you detect the virus on our email?
Sometimes these viruses are unknown to the sender.
Thanks,
