The best one of Leo's books is his Volume 2. It covers a lot of Rt 40.
Leo did note on each picture where it was taken and any history about that
place or person.
Leo Beachy died in 1927. All of his pictures were still in glass form until
1996 when Leo's niece, Maxine Beachy Broadwater, found a way to have the
pictures put in book forms so she could share all his work. She also shared
his statements.
I think Maxine still has some of these books. I paid $10 for the last one I

Before prohibition my great grandfather, Theophilus Morgan owned a Saloon in
Mount Savage Theo's Saloon. I have a photo of him standing in front of it.
I remember Long Stretch because it was the first time I ever rode in a car going over 100 MPH. It was a 1939 LaSalle. A friend of Dad's had just bought it (I don't think it was new). The friend drove up past Long Strerch and then pulled over and let Dad drive back. On Long Strech, the friend said in a loud voice (referring to the clock style speedometer) "J__ C___ it's going round again". The friend was Bob Moses from Douglas Avenue in Coney. My brother and I enjoyed the ride.
We'd take feet of snow or ANYthing here in NC that's wet! I've never seen a drought this severe. It's really getting scary to see even the large rivers nearly dried up. Of course, since we're working so hard to conserve water, I figure the extra time I have now while not doing laundry, not washing the car, taking no longer than 5-minute showers can be spent working on genealogy. A great excuse, um, I mean idea, eh? I'm always working on my Oldtown Waggoners, even though it's brick wall city, but in the

Does anyone have any information about a Joseph Winkler who shot and killed
a man at the Red Onion Saloon in Reynolds Maryland Dec. 19, 1915. (He was
aquitted of murder). I believe Reynolds was what is now known as an area near
Mill Run between Barton and Westernport Maryland.

I have Family Tree Vs. 16 and this is the first version I have had where I
can't copy/paste something from one person to another person's file. (To
put in "notes.") Am I alone or does anyone else find they can't do this?
If this is strictly a newer feature, next update will not be Family Tree. I
have never had a problem and I have had various versions for many years.

I just looked up some families that I know were in Mt. Savage and
discovered something strange. There are no L's listed (Leasure, Lynch,
for example). Maybe many others. Am I missing something?

Jean,
I have the same problem but I do not know which version I have as it is
2006.
I have found a way to copy/paste Notes from one person to another person.
I found some info in the Help but went to the manual for more help. The
2005 manual gives the directions on pages 85-86.
