I obviously am doing something wrong. When I go into this recommended site, click on Maryland, and then select a county (from the map provided), I always end up in the census bureau web pages. I don't see where the Maryland list of batch numbers is anywhere. (I am weeping because they could be so helpful!) Can anyone help me? If there is a death index for Caroline Co., will someone please look-up Martha "Patty" Coursey THAWLEY's date of death and possible burial site. Her father was William Coursey of Caroline Co. Her husband was John Thawley. Her last child, Andrew Thawley, was born about 1830-1832. These are well known families in Caroline Co. Hi Karen, I went to the site page. From this page, look to the left column. Then choose Maryland. Then go down this page to MARYLAND (IGI) VITAL RECORDS EXTRACTIONS [which is at the bottom of the page]. And under MARYLAND (IGI) VITAL RECORDS EXTRACTIONS you find Counties, choose the county you want. Then you should be where you want to be. They bought property in Fleming County KY abt 1820 then went to Nicholas county for a short time where Thomas was by himself.
