13. Re: reply DelawareCo. Archives [0.987098]
Mary, Delaware County Archives is in PA! Most of these records have NEVER been available to the public before. Hence, this is a very special day! From about the 1880s to after WWII -- people would come from Delaware (the state) & the Eastern Shore of Maryland to work in the Chester, Delaware Co., PA area. Many families stayed in PA (as my family did) & some returned home. Hence, this is why I posted the opening of the Delaware County Archives. Sorry, if I confused you anyone.

Hello Parker, I saw that you had posted a response to another subscriber and I was glad to see that you are still out there in the world of genealogy. I have greatly appreciated your family website and found it to be a most valuable resource in researching my grandfathers ancestors from Caroline County. Having only started the work a little less than a year ago, I think I missed a lot of the initial activity on the Caroline Web

Hi Parker, Thanks so much for sharing the information about the Rumbold history and your memories of the Mitchell ladies. I wish that Id been able to start my research earlier and that then maybe, Id have had the opportunity to meet them, you were very fortunate to have known them. Now I have another place on my to go list for gathering the information and research; I would greatly enjoy seeing the Rumbold bible. Another qu

Hi Patricia, I did take an extended break from genealogy but I'm slowly getting back into again. I'd be happy to share what little I've gathered in respect to genealogical research, fire away. :) Regarding the question about John Rumbold's parentage, from a family Bible (William Rumbold's) at the Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore... John Rumbold son of Elizabeth Rumbold born'd December 10th, 1774. This was 11 months before her marriage to Thomas Chilcutt in 1775. Also, John Rumbold isn't listed as

Dear Marsha, I was very excited to see your posting. I only started on my family search last summer so when I saw some earlier postings you had made they were not very recent. I tried e-mailing , but maybe your address has changed . I am a direct descendant of Matthew Patton, Sr.( 4th gggf) and Lydia Barratt Patton, through their son Matthew who was a couple of years younger than " your" Barrett. I have pictures of these graves, live in the area and may have other information about the family that you mig

Marsha, just sending you another message since I didn't see my original one on the message board and I'm a little unsure about how the replies post, maybe it didn't go through. I have pictures of the graves you are looking for, I am also a descendant through "your Barrett's" brother, Matthew Jr., who remained in Caroline County. Would be glad to share them and any other information that I have on Matthew Sr. and Lydia Barratt, no charge. Was glad to see your posting. I had seen some of your previous querie
