Hello - I recently asked for a look-up for "Maurice HINCHEE" with no record of any HINCHEE'S in the book.
I just learned that he may have been listed as "Morris HANKEY or KANKEY" in the 1790 census for Cecil County. Could SKS look this up for me, please!
Thank you,
Rudy
Hi Tim,
THANK you. I'm looking for Sarah Montague. She was married to
John Montague but I think he may have already died by 1890.
Thank you so much!

Thank you for the reply. The Charshee's that I knew personally (and am
related to) lived in Harford County--across the river. I know from the census and
from Cecil Cty Historical records, etc. that a lot--with various spellings--also
lived in Cecil County.
ANY knowledge that anyone out there may have about the family will be GREATLY
appreciated !!! Jeanne Hartman, Cleveland, Ohio
Thank you so much!

I know this is probably too much to ask, but here goes. I also have been
considering buying this book. However, unless it includes information on one of
the following two families, it might not be much help to me. Would you
consider looking in the index to see if you see either of the two families listed?
(I would certainly not expect you to look in the book for occurrences that are
not in the index; that would be asking too much!)

If this is a request for me for the wills abstracts. There is no Tanner of
Cecil Co in the book 1634-1777. But there is a Henry in 1731 Charles Co and
two Thomases ib Q.A. 1758, 1788. Want the abstracts?

Will,
Thank you so much for that bit of info. Noone else has been able to answer
that including my lawyer brother in law.
By the way. My Alexanders married Browns. All sons of David
Alexander----Aaron married a Jean Brown Ross, William married a Rebecca Brown and my Ezekiel
married a Martha, probably Brown. They may have been the children of Charles and
Mary Brown found in Lancaster Co. wills of 1746. All these daughters names
are mentioned together in Charles's will., also a son, William Brown. Don't
Karen, are you the one I was corresponding with on the McCulloughs? I just

Be glad to share.

I found these very helpful. I am related to several familys in Cecilton and
many of my relative are buried there. Coppage and Donahoe among others.

There is no index for individuals, you pick a time period and a first letter
of the last name and page through sequentially. One short cut I've found that
works. After you have picked time period and letter you can go up to the
address in Internet Explorer and manually change the page number. Example: My

Jeanne,
I remember my father having talked about this name. They were in Cecil
County.
I am sorry to say they that I do not know anything more. I can only assume
that they came to the County at a later date since Ellen cannot locate early
information on them.

"In the room of" means that someone is replacing someone else in a position;
such as: "Joe Smith is appointed Road Commissioner in the room of John
Jones." John Jones was therefore the previous Road Commissioner, a position
which is vacant (room has been created) and Joe Smith is now the new Road
Commissioner (filling the room).
I hope this answers your question.
