Some early, early records exist of film from Latter Day Saints Family
History Center out of SLC Utah. You can rent them out to a local Family
History Center in your area. I am interested in this particular church
also. I have rented out the LDS films but need more. Hope we get some
response. Sherrie

So sorry! I do apologize. I was looking at a query on the subject of "Wills
of Chester County, Pennsylvania 1778
> - 1800"............ and (2) "Early Church Records of Chester County,
> Pennsylvania,
> > Volumn 2. I have no exact dates for most of these families just that
they lived in the time period that these two books cover. Elias Glenn (born
in 1769) married an Ann Carson (born 1770). I have no other information on
the Carson family. I'm sorry that I do not have dates for any of the others.
While searching the Hall line, have you found a Sarah Hall whom married #1
George M. Vanderford and #2 Hawkins Downes? She was born about 19 May 1762.
If so, I would like to hear from you. Loretta
my great-grandparents-Harry Ellis Howell and Ellie May Compton Howell lived
in the
Iron Hill section of Cecil Countfor most of their lives. He worked for the
railroad and was given a home to
live in by them when he retired which was not more than a foot from the
railroad tracks. It has been forty years since I had contact with the many
great aunts, uncles and first cousins(once removed) in that area. I do know
that Eleanor Howell(a daughter in law), at one time attempted to trace this
family tree.
Ruth,
What can you tell me about the Large family? My daughter just married into
the Large family and we would like to search the family. It seems all the
family can tell us is Great-grandfather may have been William Large married
Ruby born in Honaker, Russel County, Va. Their son, Grandfather, Denver was
born in Bartlick, Dickinson, Va and there are other children.
Do these names recall anything to you? Loretta
Hi Timothy,
Thanks for your offer. There are certainly limited resorces here in
Mobile, Alabama. I go to the Pensacola Library and they have more books
on MD but I've gotten all the information I can from them. The LDS
library is the best but that costs shipping for just every item.
Would any Russell Wills be mentioned in those books?
Thanks again,
Mary
P.S. Do you know anything about Rev. War units and if there would be a
certain unit for Chester Co. PA or New Castle Co. DE?

Elizabeth Mitchell b. 1821 was born in Grayson, TN but lived in Tazewell,

Hi Charlie,
You are so kind to offer to look up this surname.
My ancestors lived in Cecil Co from about 1860 to present, my line eventually
moving to PA - both Phila and Bucks Co.
While living in Cecil Co. Aunt Lizzie - Elizabeth Ida Biles born 1860,
Elkton, MD married ... Bratton. The only thing I know about ... Bratton is
that in 1896 Elizabeth married for the 2nd time Alvin Bieber according to the
Marriage License Index of Phila.
I have looked extensively for Elizabeth I Biles in the 1880 Census an

I'm afraid I haven't gotten any further than John and Elizabeth (nee
Peirce) HALL. I'm researching "down" from Elizabeth's parents: Henry and
Sarah (nee Smith) PEIRCE, rather than the usual up or back from self thru
previous generations to an origi

St. Mary Anne's Parish was created in 1706 from the North Sassafras Parish.
N Sassafras was a first generation parish created in 1692. In 1692 there

Has anyone hired a professional genealogist they would recommend to
personally search the MD Archives for some early (1730-1734) land and
estate records?
This is pushing the envelope but are there any of these families mentioned?
GLENN, CARSON, MILNOR (or MILNER), or BARNABY? Hope that I am not asking too
much. Thanks for the effort.

Ok, I can't do it today, as I have to go to work, but will send them on
Thursday.

It seems so tantalizing but I can't connect the data. Edward (1760) had
daughters Mary b.1787 and Elizabeth b. 1789. Edward had a brother Samuel b.
1764 who also had daughters named Mary and Elizabeth. So the given names are
common in the family but our dates don't jibe. Edward married Nancy after
Mary was born. Shenandoah is certainly on the track that many took going
west. My Mitchells were in Botetourt County, VA by 1787 and the families of
both Edward and Samuel left from Fincastle in 1818 f
