Melissa This is how I have the family. Please tell me of any errors and don't trust this too much as it is not my line, but just what I have. My wife descends from Jesse who moved to Ohio. 9. Re: [MDCECIL] Martha Grant, wife of Joseph Grant of Cherry Hill in 1898 [1]
Melissa, The father of Joseph Grant of Grant Funeral Home was Clark Spencer Grant and his grandfather was William J. Grant of Cherry Hill, MD. There may be a family connection if you go back a few generations. I understand there were several "Grant's" around Cherry Hill, MD. If you can make it to the Historical Society of Cecil County on a Tuesday evening (6:00 - 8:30), ask for Lucia Demond, she is a volunteer and the daughter of Joseph Grant of the funeral home family.
