I am hoping that someone will have some information on a Thomas Whaland according to 1860 Baltimore Census Thomas Whaland was 38 yrs old and a Steamboat Capt. which would make him born abt. 1822, married to Araminta age 26 and two sons: Robert Whaland age 10 and Lawrence Whaland age 8. I find a marriage in Baltimore by Rev. France of Thomas Whaland to Miss Frances Araminta Love on 2 Nov. 1848 both of Kent County, MD. I figure that Thomas Whaland must have died prior to 1867, because I then find a marriage
