I'm new to the list and wondered if anyone has information on my Kent County ancestors: Charles H. DEFORD born about 1827-1830 married Mary J. MANN about 1853. I'm guessing that she died when their first child was born, since it appears Charles married Mary E. Dailey in 1855. I still haven't verified whether this is the same Charles. Their first child, Mary S. DeFord (b. June 1854 in MD, died April 16, 1927), married my gggrandfather James E. WATKINS (July 1845 - Sept 24, 1904). I'd be immensely gr

I'm researching KNOTTS/TEMPLE and GREEN families in QA,Caroline, and Kent cos MD, and Kent co DE during 1600's,1700's and 1800's. My gg-grandfather, Andrew KNOTTS, is believed to have married Elizabeth GREEN in Kent co MD in 1796. Does anyone have info on these families? Hello Kent researchers, Does anyone know of any BURCH familes or NORTONS who were in Kent County before 1800? Probably Augustus or oher first name BURCH and WILLIAM, JOHN, JAMES or SAMUEL,EDWIN NORTON. The Nortons were Episcopalians. The Burches maybe not. thanks, Carole
