Hi Prince George's,
I need a little history lesson, if possible, about the Jacob Duckett Company
and the French Indian War.
Here's the problem. I am researching Thomas Magruder b abt 1774-9 d. abt
1830
Son of George Frazer Magruder and Grandson of Samuel Magruder.
I was given info on Thomas which included "a private in Capt. Jacob Duckett's
Co. during the French Indian War of 1799." Trouble is by 1799 I have Thomas
at Caroline County Va and those references are pretty reliable.
Besides.....my hi

Hi:
Try the LDS (Latter Day Saints) Mormon's Family History Center nearest you.
Look in the phone book or go on line to Familysearch.org. I believe I have
seen a link to a listing of their Family History Centers. The Centers are
open and free to the public. If you order a film from Salt Lake City, there
is a nominal charge

Darlene, I have also been looking for a female Duvall who probably lived in
Brooke Co Va as a child, married there and moved across the river with her
husband Robert McIntire. The dates from her cemetery stone are 1802-1846.
I gather from others that no McIntire is listed in the book you mentioned.
What I still would like
Hi,
Can someone tell me if there is a tax list for 1760-80 for P Geo.Co or Ann
Arundel co, and where I might find this information. I need to find out when
my Gideon Walker arrived in Md, where he married Pricilla Duvall, d/o Mareen
Duvall , and had at least 8 children in Pr.Geo.co.Md before moving to Fayette
co.Pa by 1782. I have checked the 1776 census for Md, but cannot find him
there. I dont think Gideon Walker owned any land, he was about 22 yrs old
when he came to Md from Ct. Any help appreciat
Does anyone have any clues to the identity of Mary(c1705-1774) wife of 1st Richard Nevitt of
St. Mary's and PG Co. MD and of 2nd Edmund McAtee of Charles Co. MD? Below is her will and

Hi Darlene, Thanks for answering my query, I have the Mareen Duvall book
too, but really appreciate you trying to help, guess I should have mentioned
that I had it. Thanks again, Joan
Hi Cherry,
Thanks for answering my query, I have that book at home and it only says
Gideon Walker most likely was a recent arrival in the county, as a search of
PGEO co.Walkers turned up nothing as far as him being related to them. Are
there any tax lists for the county?? Thanks again, Joan

Hi Joan
Your email request on Priscilla was forwarded to me in hopes that I might be
able to give you some information. I can provide you with what is in the
Mareen Duvall of Middle Plantation in case you do not have access to the book.
It states Priscilla was born Feb 11, 1737/8 in Queen Anne's Parish, Prince
George's County.
Here is the URL for finding a FHL.

Does anyone have any information about a JOHN DEAN who was married to both
