My sister and I are researching our line of Windsor's but we have "hit a brickwall". We have traced our line back to our GG-Grandfather, Lemuel H. Windsor, born 1832 somewhere in Maryland (have not been able to locate his birth record). At this point, we are trying to find Lemuel's exact birthplace and his parents names. A later entry ( p. 447) mentions Lydia as the daughter of Henry Huttson ( Hudson) and Lydia Unk. Hi Lists, This is a reposting of a similar email posted in September 2008. My wife's great-grandfather, Ross Thomas Bailey, a waterman, was the captain of a Chesapeake Bay Bugeye named "Martha A. Shores". The "Martha A. Shores" was build in "St. Peters" (presumably along St. Peter's Creek), in Somerset County, MD, in 1889, Registration No 92133. Captain Ross Bailey acquired the "Martha A. I have no answer to your query, but do find it interesting that in Somerset County The GALE and JONES surnames are intermingled with that of the HYLAND family. The second wife of Rev. War Patriot, Lambert Hyland was Elizabeth Gale. Levin D. Jones married Matilda Hyland in 1821, Somerset Co. daughter of Lambert Hyland and his 3rd wife, Sarah Miles.
