Tell that to a Marine who died this week in Iraq. I'm ashamed of those who don't do their own research and find out the truth. There are 60 mosques in Houston. Why? 4. Re: [MDSTMARY] Notes on Raley family [1]
I have a note that Thomas Greenwell 1703-1750, m. 1st Mary Medley bef 1724, after her death in 1743 & bef Apr 10, 1744 he married 2nd Mary Heard, previously married to John Raley & Francis Hopewell. I believe that Mary Medley was mother of Greenwell children & that Riley children were from Mary Heard's marriage to John Raley(Riley). He called them children-in-law but I think they were what we would call step children today. Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dobricky, John"

6. Re: [MDSTMARY] Notes on Raley family [1]
Don, The information below probably came from Linda Ransom. Some of it is incorrect. For instance, she states that Bennet Raley m. second, Frances Frazier and had Joseph, b. 1/25/1796 and then Elizabeth, b. 10/16/1801. She quotes a family bible, but the dates don't jibe. I believe that I'd previously asked for a copy of the bible pages with the actual entries, but it was never provided. I found that marriage record and it didn't happen until 1805. I'm still not convinced it was the same man who
7. Re: [MDSTMARY] Joseph Stone & Winifred Hutchins [1]
Francis Stone, son of Joseph Stone and Winifred Hutchins, was married twice. As you state, his first wife was Jemima Lake, 1780-August, 1847, buried at St. Andrew's. Francis Stone married second, Mary E. Yates, widow of Henry "Harry" Abell, June 09, 1852 at St. John's RCC, Hollywood. Francis Stone died September 28, 1858 and was buried September 30, 1858 in "his garden." 8. [MDSTMARY] Henry Sylvester Raley [1]
Hello List, Below is what I have for the children of Henry Sylvester Raley from a few years ago when this family was discussed. Henry was a source of much confusion then too! 1. 11. Re: [MDSTMARY] wonder if this is Barak's Tarlton Ancestor -- the father of Jeremiah "The Catholic" Tarlton [1]
Yes, that's his will. Now here's the will of his son, John in 1772 who names his sister, Ann. Ann's also named in his administration accounts in 1774. In neither case is she married. According to information I received earlier today, John Miles Duvall and Ann Tarlton had three children born prior to 1772--the first being born in 1768. If that's the case, again, this Ann Tarlton was not the wife of John Miles Duvall. Will of John Tarlton, SMC 4/2/1772-6/16/1772. Son: Frederick. Daughter: Elizab

Hello List: I want to thank everyone for their reply to my query about Henry RILEY & Barbara NOTTINGHAM. (And there were many) It was really just a stab in the dark. Every so often I reach out to this list for help in finding my Francis E. RILEY's parents, It has been a couple of years and each time I get a tremendous amount of replies, this is a very active list and informative group. I keep hoping someone will join the list that has something or something may be dug out of some archive somewhere that may
13. [MDSTMARY] Bennet Riley family [1]
Hi Linda and John, I want to thank both of you for all your input. Now for my response. Linda, I understand what you are saying about Bennett Raley, but isn't it possible that we are confusing TWO Bennet Raleys. What if the Bennett of your obit was the Bennett mentioned by John as a son of John Raley (1710 - 1746). If John's listing of those children is fairly well in order then his Benedict (or Bennett) could have been born about 1839 as in your reference. I know you mentioned Green Hills

Peter, Thank you so much. That is excellent information. Please excuse my slow reply. I've been away at a Computer Using Educators Conference since Wednesday evening. Hi again. I forgot one more thing. I think (note I am saying "I think" because all of these folkas have the same given names) that the John Raley who died in SMC in 1709 (who owned "Green Hills"--who, by the way, I think married Mary _______ Hampstead (Widow of William Hampstead of SMC who died circa 1677)--again, "I think") and the Michael Raley who died in SMC before 6/8/1714 were brothers. Everyone wants them to have been the sons of the Michael Raley who died in Charles County, MD, circa 1707--that o

21. Re: [MDSTMARY] "Life and Death in Seventeen Century Maryland" [1]
Wouldn't it be interesting if someone figured out what family owned/lived on that cornfield in southern Calvert County? With the way some do research today I bet it could easily be figured out. Then we would know the family that was possibly unearthed.
