My ancestor, Mary HOLMES was previously married to William HOPKINS who died ca 1760 on the way to Canada as a captive. There was a "sister" HOLMES who died 1807 and I think sister Holmes is Mary Hopkins Holmes. Is there any easy way to determine if Mary is buried in one of the three Hopkins cemeteries in Jefferson? thanks, Charles

My ancestor Eliza(beth) RIPLEY was born at Jefferson ca 1801. She married at Boston 1834 Daniel CARGILL, formerly of Newcastle, Maine. Elizabeth was a daughter of Hezekiah RIPLEY and Rachel TRASK of Jefferson. Elizabeth, a long-time widow was living at Boston 1880. I have been unable to find a death certificate for Elizabeth in Massachusetts and suspect she may have returned to Maine and lived with another family member until her death. I am helping a friend do their genealogy and am stuck on this family. I think Susan might be related to the Laughton family as some of her descendants had Laughton as a middle name. I was told there are vital records for Bristol and maybe a town history. I can't find them online or in the libraries around here. Would SKS please do a lookup for me?
