Hello,
I'm Karen Chessa. I'm new to this list. My husband's family is from Penobscot Co.
Charles Samuel CHESSA ( from Ukrania) m. Gladys NEAL (of Lincoln) 4/4/1925.
I am looking for the NEAL and TRIPP families of Burlington and Lincoln.
Gladys Neal's parents were AUGUSTUS NEAL and JULIE TRIPP m. 6/24/1894.
I believe that his parents were JOHNSON NEAL and SARAH WENTWORTH.
JULIE TRIPP'S parents were ALONZO TRIPP and ELLEN FOGG.
Any help or info on any of these would be great.
Thank you, Karen

I have searched the ancestry census for 1850 looking for ALONZO TRIPP.
I know he lived 2/2/1827-6/25/1894 and was buried at Long Ridge Cemetery in Burlington,Me. Along side his wife ELLEN FOGG and their children. I have ALONZO in the 1870 Burlington census with his wife and children. I can't find any reference as to who his parents were are where the came from.
Thanks, Karen
Is anyone on the list a member of either the Hampden Historical Soc. or the Hermon Pond Historical Society?
I found the following "...listing of cemeteries collected by the Maine Old Cemetery Assn. from various sources...bound manuscript documents are housed in the Maine State Library...and Hampden, Maine, Historical Society."
I would like to know if this is an actual survey of all the graves at the Hermon Pond Cemetery or just that it shows location. Also, if it is a survey how many pages and how can I
RITA ........ Thankyou for your interest in the McGuire's. Unfortunately
I know little about them. My G/ gm, Nancy McGuire, married Peter
Haggerty, who was from Co Donegal, probably around 1825 & probably
someplace in Ireland, maybe Co Donegal or Co Derry. They migrated, ~1825,
to NB Canada, probably Fredericton area. Two of their kids were born in
Canada: Mary Anne & Bridget Sophia. Nancy had a relative, ? sister/cousin

Looking for information on Ephraim Cilley, listed in 1850 census
of Alton, ME
Among his children was a son whose complete name was not
listed, but that of just S. Cilley.
I am interested in finding the complete name of the son as he
might be the "brickwall" that is giving me problems.
The name I am interested in is Sherburne Cilley, b. abt 1826
and ended up in Vermont.
