If so, could someone let me know the hours and days that such facilities, including availability of the respective town clerks, are open. Noreen, Must be a different David Jr. from mine.? My David Jr. (born 1809) married Mary Hamilton? (born 1816)?of Palermo, ME.? He was married to Beddy Balcus.??They are the parents of David Jr, William and Liberty.? I believe the Bryants and Hamiltons both lived in Palermo for a while.? Mary Hamilton's parents were Silas Hamilton and Sarah/Sally Bryant.? David a

Hi Janice, I grew up in Lee but have lived in Boston for the past 30 years. There is a Lee Historical Society and a very small museum. I think that they don't have regular hours but are available by appointment. I'll call my sister who has lived in Lee all her life. She'll know who to call to schedule an appointment. It's a tiny town and everyone knows everyone else. Also ran across a Lincoln website the other day that had lots of Lincoln history and I think contact info for a local historical

Maybe also surname of Balcus and Hamilton (doubtful). The URSUS listing says there is?a genealogy section in the book. John...I also had family who were in Lincoln during the later part of the 1800's I am hoping they are mentioned in the town history. I believe they had a tannery there and in several area towns. My gg grandfather's name was William Plaisted. His son Harris Forbes Plaisted is my g grandfather. His other sons were William Porter and Thomas Merrill Plaisted. I have more than one version of his wife's first name, so I am not sure what it was...but her maiden name was Forbes. Would you mind glancing at the

Susan, There is a genealogical section but nothing for Bryant- the only listing is a reference to a David Bryant of Enfield who was the closest neighbor to a Jeremy Nelson. The context seems to be that Nelson had a large farm and to emphasize how big, the Bryant reference is used (that's my guess). No Balcus or Hamilton. I'm not positive but I believe Enfield is a separate entity. John John L. McManus, MAT, MLIS Director Millinocket Memorial Library 5 Maine Avenue Millinocket, ME 04462 ----- Origin
