I found the following listed in The Jacksonian newspaper, Abingdon, Virginia, dated July 31, 1847: By Rev. J.S. Burnett on the 29th inst. at half past 6 o'clock a.m. Rev. J.W. Miller of the Holston Conference to Miss Mary L. Balfour of Washington Co., VA. Does anyone know where I can get information on Rev. J.W. Miller? I assume he was assigned to a church but don't know how to find this information. I know he was born in 1822 in Rockingham County, Virginia and died in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Any s

Susan, my Miller family was in Jefferson County Kentucky before moving into Knox Co. Indiana. My gggrandfather was Charles Wesley Miller. Would be interested in more information about Rev Miller. I know my family practiced the Methodist faith.
