I'm trying to find the newspapers that may have covered Milbridge, ME in
1912. I'm looking for an obituary for Alonzo Small who died July 30,
1912 in Milbridge.
I'm also looking for any mention of his son Captain Ira Alonzo Small who
died July 28, 1912 in Portland, ME but was to be buried in Milbridge, I
assume at Evergreen Cemetery but there is no record or headstone for him
there.
Any help is appreciated.

I use the One World Trees as clues, hints and possibles - unless they are
posted as sourced. I also used to spend a lot of time going through and
posting corrections and more info to those trees that had incorrect or
incomplete data.

Thanks for posting this as this is my line. For others who may research
this line there are errors in the Ancestry One World Tree. In error is
Ira's birthplace - he was born May 6, 1863 in Brooklyn, NY. Phebe A is

I have documentation on these facts

My mother grew up in Milltown, Maine.. It's not a town but part of
Calais. As far as I know the only cemetery is the Calais Cemetery.
It's very large and when I visited the men working there were very
helpful. Sorry, I don't have an address for them, just a phone number

I had great luck writing to the Calais Free Library looking for death

Hello,
About 2 weeks ago, I heard of a genealogy society in MA which I did not
know about. And, I got an e-mail from an historical society mentioning an
event that weekend that others might be interested in. And, I know of
several genealogy societies that other people don't know about. Etc.
So, I thought that maybe a List should be started up - providing a place
where people could discuss genealogy societies and historical socities that
researchers know about. And, researchers could announce eve

Hi Val-
That would be wonderful! Is it okay as is or does it need some more work?
Should there be a paragraph on the writer and her pedigree. What is your

Your welcome Bob - and this is the way to get some of the "One World Trees"
corrected. The errors run rampant. But, also good info to get hints from
to be doubled checked.
Hope everyone see this. >:)
