Just started doing family research again after 5 years away. My grandmothers name was Margarita Herrera and came to Wyoming about 1911-1912 when she was around 5 years old.. Her fathers name was Jose Ysabel Herrera and may have stayed in Michoacan (Chilchota) as my grandmother was born out of wedlock.

Hi Alejandra,
I have been looking through the message boards for new information. It's been about 5 years since I've done any work. I saw your posting and thought it was interesting because at the time it was written you were living in Richmond, CA - where I was born. Secondly
My father, his parents and abuelos are from Guanajuato. Places like Las Cruces, El Pitayo, Los Cerritos or El Cerro. I can't find them on the map. Maybe they are ranchitos. Whatever they are, they must be close to the Michoacan border because two generations of my family were baptized and married at La Parroquia Santiago Apostol in Numaran, Michoacan. Can anyone tell me where these places are? Where would I find the civil registers? I've tried the LDS website and microfilms and have found my grandparents.
