Some oral history is that the Codina's were originally from the Barcelona area, but do not know when the name first came to Zacatecas.

Well I'm not sure this is exactly the same town but if it is here is some information good and bad. . .the good is that it exists the bad is that it appears to not be circulating. Dear List, I'm looking for the following: Jose Acevedo b abt 1889 in Acienda, El Mezquite, Zac. (I think.) He died May 1945 in Estacion, ZAC. ( I think) He was a farmer. He had a son J. Jesus b abt 1919. mother unknown to me. He later married? Carmen Martinez b abt 1909, and had 6 more children. All born in Fresnillo. Jose father and mother were Jose and Matiana Lopez.
