My great great grandfather, Charles WEIR (aka WIER), was also in the 8th MI Cavalry. He was in Co. F and M. He served Aug. 1, 1864 to Sept. 22, 1865. Barb

Frank C. Dillenback age 24 Enlisted on 8/10/1862 at Byron as a Private On 8/28/1862 he mustered into "H" Co MI 4th Cavalry He was discharged on 7/7/1864 at Nashville, TN Source: Record of Service of Michigan Volunteers 1861-1865 http://www.civilwar.data I checked on Ancestry.com for a pension record and found none, however on a Ancestry C-D-ROM found the Mirofilm numbers that can be found at Michigan State Archives or the National Archives Frank C Dillenback Co "H" 4th MI Cavalry Misc. 100 U.S.C.J Roll
