Tania, East Jordan is in Charlevoix County, near the (boundary to Antrim). You should check the 1910 soundex to find where to look for him on the census. Do you have access to the soundex? If not I can check for you.

Hi Again, I hope I'm not being a pain, but I was wondering if it would be possible for you to check the 1900 soundex as I looked through the entire East Jordan, Charlevoix County census for 1900 and am not finding the family there. The 1910 census showed that Thomas Wiggins was born in Canada, that he immigrated to the US in 1884. He married Sarah ? abt 1892. His children were all born in Michigan. So, I am assuming that he came directly from Canada to Michigan and stayed here. I just don't know what p

Tonya, I can only help you with your first question. Wetzel is one of those crossroad towns that never grew. You will find it where Zipp School Rd and Ski Mt Rd cross. Almost at US 131, it is about 2 miles north of Mancelona and 3 miles south of Alba in southeast Antrim County. Good afternoon. I am new to this list and I am looking for information regarding David T. Wiggins. According to his obit he was born in 1897 in Wetzel and he received his education in East Jordan. Okay ... 1. Does anyone know where Wetzel is? 2. Does anyone know where I might find school records, yearbooks, etc. for this time period? 3.
