1. JOhn Maki of IRonwood, 1930' [1]

I am trying to locate more information on a man named John Maki who was one of the important people in the local timberworker, lumberjack strike of 1937. I haven't been able to find out what happened to him after the strike ended. Any possible leads would be greatly appreciated. Supposedly, he was a member of the local communist party. I have heard possible tales that he went to Karelia after the strike. Also, I am searching for an update on a man named Nick Wancash, nicknamed one eyed Nick. I believe

Records were in Latin so please bear with my translation of Christian names as they may be slightly different from your family members: 1) Baptism of Isabelle Maria MEYER on 21 March 1909, legitimate child of John MEYER and Maria GIACOMOZZI (both of Bessemer), born on 13 February 1909.
