I am trying to locate more information on a man named John Maki who was one
of the important people in the local timberworker, lumberjack strike of
1937. I haven't been able to find out what happened to him after the strike
ended. Any possible leads would be greatly appreciated. Supposedly, he was
a member of the local communist party. I have heard possible tales that he
went to Karelia after the strike.
Also, I am searching for an update on a man named Nick Wancash, nicknamed
one eyed Nick. I believe
