This summer, we are taking a trip with our son & his family. We are hoping to stop in Saranac and find the farm that once belonged to Eldon White. He was my daughter-in-law's great grandfather and her Dad (Rick) remembers visiting there every summer in the late 50's & early 60's. (He would have been anywhere from 5-10 years old) Eldon Herman & Leone Gladys White were the great grandparents and their daughter Elaine Leone White Young was Rick's Mom. Hello, I am interested in the Harrington name also. Clark Harrington was our ancestor, and also a son of Rueben and Silence (Lila) Letson. . Clark served in the Civil War, filed for a invalid's Pension 17 Sept 1887, and widow, Emily Smith Harrington filed 12 June 1900. If anyone runs across information about them, or any photos, I would be thrilled. Thank you. Judy
10. Re: [MIIONIA] Saranac [1]
It sure would save you some time and hassle if you could find a volunteer to do deed look-up for you before you go. You could also try contacting the Ionia County Genealogical Society. If you can provide me with a little more info, dates of birth and such, I might be able to find something in the directories at ancestry.com.
