Father: Samuel Knuuttila/Gobie, b November 1861 in Finland. Samuel emigrated, alone, in 1890. He owned & operated a barber shop in Bessemer, MI after moving from Negaunee, MI. Hi, I'm thinking I may escape the big city this weekend and go up to Iron County. I called the Iron County Museum and they said they will be open July 4 and then on July 6. be sure to check at St Agnes Church and ask for ALL the details that might be written there in Latin, as well as any baptism confirmation records that might exist for the children.... if it cannot be translated, ask for a tracing of the information...... so you can et it translated elsewhere...... Also, they may have been married elsewhere but if they had children in the church, the priest might have made a reference to their marriage at another location in st agnes books.... consideer marriages in Cryst
