Gotland Radio is sending two reporters Dec.3 to do a report about
Gotland, Sweden immigrants to Michigan and their descendants. Their
tentative route is Grand Rapids, Manistee, Traverse City, Escanaba. They
have some contacts already. Does anyone know of where any Gotland people
settled in Iron County Michigan ? Gotland Radio is not commercial

Adding to my little pile of family, I now have the name of JUTILA.
A very nice person looked up an obit. for William Jutila who is buried in the
same plot as my grand uncle and aunt, William and Mary (Anna Betha Oling)
Erickson. Seems he married their daughter, Ida Sofia Erickson.
William Jutila was b. 14 July 1903 in Crystal Falls and died 27 Dec. 1991, he
was a miner, farmer, insurance man, and was the Township Clerk for Mastodon
for several years.
He has a sister, Ellen McDanel of Poulsbo, WA.

Just recieved some obituaries for some Engberg people who were in Michigan,
not sure if they were related to mine.
Charles Engberg b. 24 Sept 1857 born near Stockholm, Sweden died in Ironwood,
MI., 4 Oct. 1933, no mention of his parents names but says he had a sister
still in Sweden.
Mrs Charles Engberg, born in Sweden (no birth date) died 4 March 1931 no
mention of what her name was before marriage.
Mrs. Axel Engberg b. 26 Dec. 1871 in Sweden and came to the U.S. in 1905,
married Axel Engberg who
