Hello,
I am looking to connect with descendants of John Mills b.c. 1789 Anson Co, NC died 26 Dec 1831 Hawkins County, Tennessee. John married Alice Coffey on 19 Mar 1804 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. I just began research into this family recently and would like to learn more about John and Alice's children and ancestors. My ultimate goal is establish good documention linking this family to earlier generations of the Mills family which may have originated in England in the 1600's.
Any help

Thank you. Was not sure how the families have spread so far and distant
over the world.
This would be a great entry to add to the DNA Project, as a recent email
from them, indicates that they are having a problem gathering DNA from
Indigenous Peoples in the northern latitudes.
If our ancestors in the recent present is any indication, who is to say,
that this did not occur in the very distant past as well.

So far, I have not been able to find this family on the rootsweb.com.
I would like to find more information about James E or F MILLS, who was
married to Eleanor REINHARDT and had 2 children, Charlotte, and Daniel.
Mrs. Mills unfortunately became involved with a Rev. Mr. Hall at their
church, in New Brunswick, NJ.
They were subsequently murdered in a lane, on the county line, between
Somerset and Middlesex Co's of New Jersey.
This is not anything anyone should be ashamed of, when you take a loo

You might want to destroy this invalid information or at least mark it as
unproven.
While some of the information is correct, there are at least three
different, non-related Mills' lines in the list you have.

Yes, thanks for your feedback. I just started working on this family recently, so I'll still learning about how all these people fit together. It looks like I am looking at a different MIlls line entirely.
Thanks again,

Hi Pat
Until I received the email from Lorraine I did not have any information of
MILLS family.
The MILLS/WILSON family not much more is known, but their son Isaac Wilson
(my line) served his apprenticeship and lived at Hartlepool until he
eventually owned 2 ships and was Captain doing the home trade between NZ
and UK. Bringing also early immigrants to NZ.
He finally settled and married and retired from the sea and had a shop in
Princes Street Auckland.
His in-laws were Samuel and Matilda FURLEY
Hello Elaine,

(taken from the 1841 and 1851 censuses)
Isabella Mill was born at Halkirk, Caithnesshire, according to the 1851
census.
The IGI has the birth of Isabel Mill in 1803. Christened 23 sept. 1803 at
Thurso, Caithness. daughter of John Mill and Nelly McKay. They also had
Margaret, born 1799.
I hope this helps,
best wishes
