Well I don't know. He is my step mothers grandfather and I believe maybe his
dad was Jay or Andrew. I just found that out last night. Hunting around. So
it's very possible. They came from New York. What kind of information do you
have? I got back I believe 2 generations last night on it. That would be
awesome for Military records to. LOL

We are interested in the CULBERTSON name. JAMES CULBERTSON, born 1802 in
Ireland. He apparently settled in PA first and later settled in Oceana County,
MI, Nottawa Township in the 1830s. He married CHRISTINE FISHER. This is
their family:

Hope,
The fact that your relative is named "Jay" is very interesting to me. Did
your Jay Leake serve in the 5th Michigan Cavalry? If so, I have some
historical information to share with you.

My wife and I just happened to be down in St. Joe County. Happened upon the Culbertson Cemetery. To pics of all of the stones except for 2 recent ones. Have them if you wish.
We live northeast of Lansing. Such a fluke!
