Have you looked at the Fabulous Ruins of Detroit website detroityes ? He has a section on Detroit area synagogues - many of them now, sadly, in ruins (or are now churches or other structures). Temple Beth Emeth is part of the Genesis Project with St. Clare's EPISCOPAL Church. Actually, both facilities (TBE and BI) might have pictures of their buildings on-line. Worth checking. My mother's sister Alice was married to a Russian immigrant by the name of Theodore Rogvoy. Uncle Ted came to the US. around 1918? around the age of 7.
