Township.
Unfortunately, the page is being obtuse in loading, so am having to go at
it the long way.......
How long was Nahum living in Michigan?

Hello everyone,
I am having so many problems finding my great grandparents. They are Myron H.
Clark and Mary Theresa (Golden) Clark. Both born in 1873 in New York. They
moved to Michigan ???? Their children were John Merric Clark, Arthur Hatfield
Clark and Michael Truman Clark.
My Grandmother lied about all the dates and families, and wouldn't tell my
mother when anyone passed away.
They were living in Detroit, where? we do not know, except in the 1940's they
were on West Willis road. So I know they d
In researching the Tuttle/Bentley/Poupard/Venier surnames in the downriver
area there was a note of an 1884 Census that included Ecorse.
Anyone know the roll number so that I can order this? Or have access to the
index and can do a look up for me.
Thank you.

Hi Dan
Now, I get the list in digest, so you may have your answer by now, but

Albert, ager 14, at school, born Michigan

Deb,
Wayne county has a policy that does NOT allow you to just "look at" a
death certificate after 1930. After 1930 they don't consider it genealogy,
too recent. So you buy or find someone else who has it and will share.
Here in Oakland County I can look at ANY Death certificate up to yesterdays
(if its done). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! I do know that Wayne
county did put the web site up for ordering certificates:

Can anyone tell me what churches-(Prostestant) were in Livonia between
1837-1900, near Ann Arbor Trail and Newburg area? Are any of these churches
still in existence? Are there any church records available to the public by
micro film or whatever? The FHC only lists one micro film for a church in
the Livonia area for Mount Hope Congregation Church. I have that one on
order.
Thanks,

This is a general thank you to everyone who replied to my Christmas Wish. I
have received a large number of suggestions and, more importantly,
encouragement. I have some leads to my grandmother and I will keep you
posted on how it goes. I'll be going to the LDS Family History Center on
Woodward Ave in Birmingham sometime this week. Hopefully, I'll find a birth
record.
Thanks again,

I'm trying to locate descendants and additional information on Robert S. (Spencer?) Hotchkiss, age 27, wife Julia L, age 25 and son, Robert S. Hotchkiss Jr. that are shown on the 1910 MI Soundex.
They are listed in Detroit - 108-0219-00002.

Hallo listers!
A month ago I sent a question to the Library in Detroit that has the the Burton Historical Collection
and asked for a lookup in the City of Detroit Death Index.
I havn't yet heard anything from them and I wonder if they have loads of requests to do and that it therfore can take a long time to get an answer.
Does anyone have any experience?

Hi! I've temporarily subscribed to the list to let you know that I have
the SS-5 Social Security Application form for:
Elizabeth Hampton Christopher b. 11 Sept 1908 in Henry Co., TN to
Joe Hampton and Tannie Brewer
When she applied for her SS card on 19 April 1943 she was living in
Detroit, Wayne County, MI at 1021 McKinstry.
I got this when I was trying to get one for my Elizabeth Christopher, but
sadly, they are not the same. I'd be happy to send it to a family member
or researcher, just send

Lisa,
You may want to order and see if there was actually a divorce.......catch
is you pay for only three years (which you choose) and if it is not found,
(i.e. you were wrong) then you would have to try and guestimate what year and
re-pay, etc. This can get pricey.
Another option would be to go through a private researcher........although
I don't know if there are actual Detroit divorce indexes they can go through,
or if there are, how long it would take.
I looked for the name MUETHALL, and c

Hi,
I would not expect a reply to your lookup any time soon. It takes a
while to work thru the "channels" before it ever gets to the lookup person.
I would allow about 6 weeks.
