Deb, Wayne county has a policy that does NOT allow you to just "look at" a death certificate after 1930. After 1930 they don't consider it genealogy, too recent. So you buy or find someone else who has it and will share. Here in Oakland County I can look at ANY Death certificate up to yesterdays (if its done). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! Can anyone tell me what churches-(Prostestant) were in Livonia between 1837-1900, near Ann Arbor Trail and Newburg area? Are any of these churches still in existence? Are there any church records available to the public by micro film or whatever? The FHC only lists one micro film for a church in the Livonia area for Mount Hope Congregation Church. Lisa, You may want to order and see if there was actually a divorce.......catch is you pay for only three years (which you choose) and if it is not found, (i.e. you were wrong) then you would have to try and guestimate what year and re-pay, etc. This can get pricey.
