Looking to find more information about family George Rielly or Reilly, Josie & Frank Hil? or Hilll and , Nellie, Grace, and Bill.
Believe their address in 1940 was 2609 E 22nd Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I have a letter dated Feb 21, 1940 from Josie to my Grandmother who died in April 1940. An entry in her memorial book says there was a card or letter from George Reilly, Josie and Frank Hil?
hello list, can anyone who has ancestry check for a WW1 draft card for
Albion D Arnold?? HE was born Feb 10.1866 could be 1886.( Maine) his initials were
A D Arnold, A D Arnold died October 24,1914) Hennepin County minnesota,
Thanks in advance, for anyones help, melodee
I recently was able to search the files in WestLaw (available at just
about any legal library). I found some appeals to the MN state supreme court.
For example I found Byrnes vs Sexton Minn 1895 (Aug 6, 1895) - 62
Minn 135, 64 N.W. 155. Since this is an appeal how do I find the
original lawsuit?
Where do I write?
Are any of the civil cases index and available via the LDS for the 1860's-1930?
Thx
Tom
Albion D. Arnold was proprietor of Pioneer Hotel at 8 South Second and
resided in flat 6 at 1536 Nicollet Avenue in 1909.
Further info would involve considerable research.

I beleive the draft registration didn't begin till 1918, so he was dead
before then.

Rootsweb has a page that lists genealogy abbreviations. Here is the link to that page:

In that list "co." is used for county and company.

THE MINNEAPOLIS MARINES: MINNESOTA'S FORGOTTEN NFL TEAM
By Jim Quirk
The Coffin Corner Volume XX, 1998
There are many obscure small town teams that show up briefly in the records of the NFL for the early 1920s, but one of the least well known is the Minneapolis Marines (APFA 1921, NFL 1922-1924). The Marines, owned by locals Johnny Dunn and Val Ness, had a dismal APFA/NFL W-L-T record entirely consistent with the team's obscurity i

Hello List
It has been quite awhile since I have posted and the initial responses that
I received were mixed. Some were encouraging, some were promising, and some
were replies just to let me know ones own personal views on the subject of
locating my birth parents. For those that did provide some insight, THANK YOU. I
have still not came any closer toward my search, I hope to someday at least
gain closure before it is too late to ever know who I am.

You can use Westlaw for Appellate court decisions that will tell you
where case originated, and you can search Judaical districts for cost and
access on earlier record of case..
Google to Minnesota Courts.
Older records access is time consuming and very expensive.
In Hennepin County some records on microfilm, and some stuff in salt cave
far away.
Searching old indexes is a real pain- mistakes, book are very heavy, etc.
