Ella's last name should be spelled Cummins. Her parents were Irish immigrants. Ella was born in Newburgh, NY on April 4, 1861. She died in an auto accident August 1, 1918. Her mother died in 1866 in Newburgh. The family, consisting of Ella, her father Samuel Cummins, and her brothers Samuel

Thomas was b. 25 Jan 1802 in Bourbon Co. Kentucky and d. Sept. 1878 in Grove Lake, Pope Co., MN.
Thomas is my 2nd Great Grandfather

The fine folks at the Pope County Historical Society verified for me that Kari died less than 1 months after the 1900 census was taken. Thanks Merlin!
