The civil marriage registers for that period included the names of the parents. You might want
to see if it is on microfilm. You could check with your local Family History Center (Morman
Church).
The cemetery microfiche had his date of death in 1929 and not 1928 but it could be a typo.

I am searching for the names of the parents of Philip Snyder who was born
Dec. 5, 1854 at Syracuse, NY. He lived in Morristown, MN for 36 years. He
died on January 2, 1928. He married Matilda Homuth of Faribault on Sept.
18, 1883. They had six children. He was buried in Riverside Cemetery.
Funeral service was held at the Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev.
Charles Spear officiating. I would appreciate any information about either
Philip or Matilda. Their daughter, Gertrude was my grandmother.
Additional information on Philip Snyder--He was an engineer at the Big
Diamond Mill. Does this still exist? Also there was an obituary notice in
a newspaper on Thursday, Jan. 3, 1928/1929?. This must have been a weekly
newspaper. I would like to obtain a copy of the obituary, but do not know
the name of the paper or if it still exists. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY
APPRECIATED. Will pay for any copy fees.

Luana,John,Richard, and Anita,
Thank each of you for your help. My mother was an only child and while she
had a number of cousins I never knew them very well. My grandmother Snyder

took my mother and they moved to California. I live in South Carolina and
I'm sorry to say that I have never been to MN or WI. Hope to before I get
to old to go.
I will check with the places that you have suggested. I do have a partial
copy of the n
