1. Lake City Newspapers Circa 1940 [1]

Can anyone tell me what a local paper might have been for the Lake City area around 1940-1942. My gr-gr-gr aunt Augusta WISE died in Lake City 3/10/1942 at the age of 100. I am looking for an obituary or even a news story that might yield clues to her parents' names and her family members. Any help is appreciated. Debbie Campbell Panama City, FL

Debbie, I found just about every edition of the Lake City newspapers at the Lake City Public Library (at least all I wanted to see were there) This was about 1994. Lake City Public Library 201 South High Street Lake City MN 55041 At that time the following was correct.
