Leona, I really like how you put it about the living can hurt and the dead only frustrate you. You are so right and that is probably why I like looking for the dead and visiting cemeteries. Makes a lot of sense when you put it that way. I have always loved cemeteries and old pictures and old architecture. I was given the gift of knowing how to research in depth. Seems like genealogy and I were also meant to be together. For those of you who are families with MS, I know how difficult this must be for you.

Go to http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gs& Find-A-Grave I have found this to be VERY resourceful lately! If your cemetery or person is not already posted... Join - it is FREE! Then post the name and or cemetery. Once you posted his name... There is a button that says request a picture. It then goes out to the volunteers that live the closest and then all members. Maybe this way it can help you faster. I am not close enough or I would be on it. Good luck in your search! Tanya Williams

What does this book say about rubbings? I think I may have this in my stack of books somewhere, but it would take me a month to find it. Most restoration folks and groups recommend NOT taking a rubbing of older stones...I'm curious. No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
