I believe this flu (Spanish flu?) killed people nationwide and in Europe. The service men of the first world war brought it home with them. My uncle died from it while in France in the service. I am looking for information on my great grandparents Elmer and Mattie O. Bohannon were from the county of Putnam, MO. They had several children that were born all around. I looking for Artie Bohannon. Born around 1904 in Wyoming and married Hazel N Young Barker. He lived in Meade Kansas and ended up in the informatory in KS 1929. Sandra, John Smith married about 1845, Nancy Looney Robberson {widow of John Robberson} in Greene County, MO. This Robberson was from the area known as Robberson's Prairie in Greene County, close to the Polk County line. Hi Margaret, This is Phyllis Johnson who posted the item abt. Joshua Roberts. I was told ( oral history ) that this family died of a Flu epidemic but ---- I can find no true epidemic listed for that area of Mo until 1918-19. I suppose it is possible they died of the Flu but not of epidemic proportion or they died of something not the Flu ---- misdiagnosed. I stated it that way thinking it might be handed down in family history with that story attached and someone would recognize it.

Yes, there was, but there were many reasons kids & others died in Brooklyn. Both my gr-grandparents and grandparents had 11 kids each and all lived in Brooklyn. Lots of them died. I've been researching this area. Do you have names and have you been able to find them.
