I found several names I'd been interested in, by this method. This is a
site belonging to the National Park Service, which I stumbled on one day.
By typing in even the last name, the state, and whether confederate or
union, it brings up the names,& the Regiment Name & what they were in within
that regiment.

Mills, was 23 yrs at the time, so I'm thinking he was probably in the Civil
War. He died sometime between 1860 and 1870. Is there resources for soldiers
(either side) from this area?

I need to purchase a copy of an 1880 Andrew County marriage record for
documentation purposes. Should I mail my request to the County
Courthouse or to the Historical Association?
The folks are: 25 December 1880 marriage, Douglas Jones-Susan Catherine
Munkres [various spellings]. If anyone is interested in them, I'd be
happy to hear from you.

Rebecca Jane Munkers married my great grandmothers brother Nathaniel Green
McDonald in Platte Co., MO. The Munkers and McDonalds were living in Andrew

son of Alexander Russell McDonald, both Nathaniel and Alexander were born in
Orange Co., NC as McDaniel. Alexander changed the family name to McDonald
about 1825 while living in Orange and Parke Co., IN.
I have a picture of Rebecca Jane Munkers if you would like
