Thanks, Bob, this could very well be the cemetary, but was in my mind that
it was right off the highway as we were heading north. We had talked to
an old gentleman and his wife named Meuschke that lived south of Fortney.
He told us that the school had been used as a church and that there was

There is a very old cemetery near Fordney School, but it is on the north
of Highway F, and about a mile back toward town. There are a few stones
but none can be read so it remains a mystery just what cemetary this was.

Dear Barbara,
I noted the surname of Doyle. My grandmothers, mother was a Doyle and they
lived in Camden County, Missouri.
My Grgrandmother's name was Mary Margaret Doyle b. (perhaps) 1860. Her
father was Allen M.Doyle b.about 1830/40 in VA.
It would appear the Doyles (Doil in some places) came to Missouri in 1850.
