Thank you to all who answered my query about the church and cemetary near Braymer and Tinney's Grove MO. I was looking for the grave of Nancy J Moore (wife of Tilford Moore). Many of those on this list (and the Ray and Carroll lists) wrote to offer suggestions for places to look. So I thought I would send in my success story..
A REALLY big thanks to Fred Wood of CemPhoto WorkShops (www.cemphoto.com/) who actually went out to the Tinney's Grove Cemetary and located the stone (it had not been on prior pub
Somebody on the list sent me (a very small attachment of a copy of) the newspaper clipping of the Grandview Church. However, when I tried enlarging it I couldn't read the print. Does anyone have a good clear copy of this newspaper clipping? It had a photo of the church also. My grandparents were married there in 1935. Thanks.

Can anyone tell me if there is a list of people who are buried in Blackoak Cemetery? If so if you have access or know of someone who does, who could tell me if there are any McDonalds listed.
Thanks

Bill,
Good to hear from you. Twice my spouse and I have visited with Bob and
Madelon (MURRAY) GUFFEY on the historic GUFFEY farm on Catabwa road. Bob and
Madelon showed us many GUFFEY family photos and drove us across the road in
their car to the cemetery. We snapped photos of our GUFFEY ancestors markers
and walked the entire cemetery with Bob and Madelon puting everyone there in
perspective. As we entered the driveway to the entrance of the cemetery,
which is also the driveway to Jean Ann (murray)GUFFEY

Looking for info on Miles Randall that lived in Caldwell Co, MO in 1838 and 1839. Anyone researching the Randall family here?

Spent a lot of time in that church and yes it is still standing... although I can't imagine being able to see it from the Cemetary...
I was the ring bearer (and my sister the flower girl) around 1958 or so for Alan & Jeannie Guffey's wedding there.

Thank you all so much. Harold, thanks so much for the newspaper clipping.
Do you know what the date of the newpaper was that this was in? My grandma
said that they were married at the Grandview Church of the United Brethren
in Christ at Breckenridge. This would be the same church, right?

Hi Lisa!
Yes we have a photocopy of an article from a Sunday type magazine with
imbeded photo of the Grandview Church South of Breckenridge and near the
Guffey Cemetery. My spouse and I visited the area 3 years ago and could see
the Church down the hill from the entrance to the Cemetery. The land the
Church stands on was donated by my wife`s ggGrandfather William Fetterson
GUFFEY.
