1. Green [1]
I am in the process of joining the DAR, and I need proofs of my lineage to my Revolutionary Patriot. My maternal family were from Camden County, a lot of them are still there, the name is Green. I need Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates etc. but I have no addresses to send off to get them or even the years that they started keeping such records, and someone told me that there was a fire one year in the Camden County courthouse and some of those records may have been lost by that fire. Could yo

11. ReConstructed Marriage Records [1]
I am new to this mailing list and wondered where and how the marriage list was compiled that was posted by Michael Middleton in response to an inquiry on the Green family. I am interested in where the information came on Jasper and Nancy Ann Johnson and what other info that person might have regardling this couple. I am looking for Nancy Davidson who married a Johnson after 1861 and lived in Camden county in 1905/06. Thnaks, Ruth Skidmore

Hi everyone. Here is my brick wall.....more or less. My great grandmother, Susannah AKA Susan Robertson Williams is buried in the Macks Creek cemetery. She and her son, Albert, moved to Macks Creek after her husband, John B. Williams died in Monroe County, IN, in March of 1880. (that is his death). Later that year, possibly in the spring, Susan moved to Macks Creek, but according to family stories, they were not intending to stay and the reason they stopped is because Susan was not well. Her son

Link for the service record of WWI veterans: http://sos.state.mo.us/archives Where applicable, shows disablity (not nature, just amount in percent ususally) where enlisted, rank, date of promotion, some show age at enlistment, others show date of birth. Surprisingly, of the 3 Christian County Ellingsworth records that I found, one enlisted in Galveston TX, one in Jeff Barracks (St Louis) and one in Ozark. G'luck. Dear Phyllis, Unfortunately what you're heard is true - the Camden courthouse burned in 1902. As far as I know there are no records until after that date. They did try to reconstruct many of the land records, for legal purposes. They had people bring in their deeds to be re-recorded. But, don't think you can get any vitals like birth, marriage or death until after 1902. The DAR must have consideration for such instances. Perhaps you can use census records as substitutes, etc. Perhaps others have had

Camden County was organized Jan. 29, 1841. Before 1841 you would need to research Benton, Morgan and Pulaski County for records. Camden County Court House has marriage records from 1902. The court house burned Jan 28, 1902 and again in 1903. To obtain copies of birth, marriage, divorce records you should mail them to: Department of Health Bureau of Vital Records P. O. Box 570 Jefferson City, MO. 65102 phone 573/751-6400 Birth or death from 1910 is $10 Marriage or divorce ?? was free but believe th
