Franklin County Historical Society Meeting Postponed The June meeting for the Franklin County Historical Society will be held at Berger on Sunday, June 15 instead of June 7. The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at the society's headquarters in Berger, formerly the Ebenezer Methodist Church. This is an important meeting as officers will be elected for the coming year. This group has a lot of work ahead of them and we are hoping for a good turnout Sunday.
I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as the family of James A.
KINCAID which was taken at the W. C. Perkins Studio in Washington, Missouri.
The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1860's or 1870's with James
and his wife appearing to be in their 30's or 40's and four children ranging
in age from about 5 - 12 years old at the time. It appears to be a 3 older
boys and the youngest a girl.
Based on limited research I was able to gather some information regarding
the family as follows:

Spring Bluff Heritage Day This Weekend
The Franklin County Historical Society is again sponsoring Spring Bluff Heritage Day at the Spring Bluff Retreat Center (Baptist Camp). It will be held Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The purpose of Spring Bluff Heritage Day is to celebrate the history of the community. There will be no admission charge, but donations will be appreciated.
