I am the Grandaughter of Alvis Wilson Price and Minnie White Price. That was an error on the census when they put a R instead of a A. Alvis is his first name not a nick name. I take it you are the daughter of one of Minnie's many siblings. I would love to hear from you

I found a Civil War record for Pierre Leboube from Gasconade County. I believe he is Peter Leboube (Laboube), a distant relative. I also believe he lived in Jefferson County, Kansas after he married Fanny Maria. Does anyone have any info on this person?

I am related to the Lemons/Lemmons family, which was my paternal grandmother's maiden name. They came to Gasconade Co. shortly after 1850 from Henry Co. VA and before that, Rockingham Co. NC... The Prices also came from that area.. I also know a Price man married a Spalding girl.

You might try the DIXON BAPTIST ASSN which encompasses the Liberty Baptist
Church...
Contact the State Baptist headquarters in Jefferson City. They can direct
you to the person that is the associational director for the Dixon Baptist Assn.
(Don't know why they called it "Dixon", since it isn't that close to Dixon,

Hi,
I'm not a resident of Owensville anymore and I never was a member of
the Liberty Church, but my best friend lives just this side of Bland, MO. and
he and I have spent a little bit of time visiting the cemetery to photograph
some markers. I was there last November, and I noticed that it appears the
Congregation has built a new church building on the South side of Hwy 28 not to far
from the old Liberty Church building. I will send an email and ask him to get
the mailing address and post it h
I was raised in Bland and partially agree with this note. The Liberty
Cemetery in Gasconade Co. is on the North side of Route 28, about 2 miles
west of Owensville, toward Bland. However, the Liberty Cemetery in Maries
Co. is about one mile West of Belle, on the South side of Route 28 and not
between Owensville and Belle..

Maureen: I'm not sure how to get there. I am researching the Holliday family and there are some buried there. All I know is it is in Clay, Gasconade County. You might try requesting someone from the Gasconade Mailing List to look for the surname for you. That's what I did, and there are some very nice people on this list. Peg

I still would like to know how the PRICE families were connected to the
LEMONS' families.. Does anyone know? I know they lived in the same area of VA and
also in MO.. And in the census records, I find them either living near or in
the same house.. I think a Pleasant Price was working as a farm hand in a
Lemons' household.. Am I correct?

There is a Liberty Church Cemetery in Belle--on the left hand side as you
drive into Belle. The Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery is on Hwy 28 at
Canaan, Mo between Owensville and Bland, Missouri.

You are right. They seem to have lived in the same area and left Virginia
about the same time. My Great Great Grandparents, Pleasant Price and
Susan( no last name yet) were living in Henry county Virginia, No twp.

Hi Bill,
The Amelia Adams that married Walter Anderson Chapman is the sister of my
James Clayton Adams of Gasconade County. I have very little information on
the Chapman's but I have a lot on the Adams.
Most of the Adams are buried in the Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown use to
be a stage coach stop back in the old day's, now nothing is there but the
cemetery. There are other people buried there. My Uncle wants to get the place
cleaned up and see who else is buried there so that other people

Hi, I was at the Liberty Cemetery last year. I don't recall the street
name. I was driving from Owensville, MO on Hwy 28 into Belle,MO and the
cemetery could be seen on the hwy just as you reach Belle. It had a tall
wrought iron entrance way with the name Liberty across it. Good luck, Nancy
